Equitation Day at Devon

Devon, Pennsylvania – May 23, 2024 – Equitation riders dominated the Dixon Oval on the first Thursday of the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair. The country’s top young riders competed in the WIHS Equitation Classic – Jumper Phase, Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal, and Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search. After a total of 305 over fences trips, the first equitation winner’s of Devon 2024 were crowned.

110 riders faced off in the WIHS Equitation Classic – Jumper Phase to kick off the day in the Dixon Oval. Split into three separate sections, it was Taylor Cawley, Kate Hagerty, and Reese Merna who claimed their own Devon blue ribbon.

Three more winners were crowned in Section A, B, and C of the Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal. Merna, went on to win Section A of the Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal while, Quinn Hunter won Section B and Isabelle Ehman won Section C.

The final equitation class of the day, the Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search saw Taylor Cawley take her second victory of the day in Section A, while Christian Dominguez won Section B.
